Today was a travel day. A travel day is not a wasted day at all. We have enjoyed the many places we have spent some time like Bryce and Zion... Lake Powell and Phoenix but we also love to be on the road. There is always something to see and interesting places to note. For example, today we drove near and even across Shasta lake which was beautiful and then it clouded up and the mountains sort of disappeared in the clouds which was also beautiful. Then when we stopped for lunch near Yreka and happened to look out the window... behold pushing out of the clouds was Mt. Shasta beside us. So we had a beautiful view of that spectacular mountain for our lunch time viewing. (The picture below was taken right out of the
ArrVee window.) The wind was blowing quite hard and we had fun watching the seagulls shooting around in the wind and then holding steady in one place. Perhaps we are easily amused.
The wind was pushing us along and we got terrific mileage out of it for a while. We arrived near Grants Pass and have a lovely campsite right along the Rogue River.
... pretty nice day for a couple of "roving rogues".
