| Clouds lift... VOILA |
Yesterday when we arrive the ceiling was low and we couldn't see anything around us but TODAY...
the clouds we awakened to quickly burned off to a beautiful sunny day. We took the free shuttle into Zion Canyon and were just overwhelmed once again at the beauty of God's creation. The Mormons named this place Zion and I assume it was because they felt like this was the promised land... or at the very least a very special place.

The valley is a deep channel between numerous huge mountains that simply dwarf everything beneath them. I'll post some pictures but none will come close to capturing the beauty and grandeur of Zion Canyon. We hiked up to two waterfalls. Of course if you've ever stood beneath a waterfall you remember that you get wet. We did. The lower falls is actually two steams of water and you can go behind them and that was a fun experience (very wet). We also had to cross a little stream and being somewhat short in the legs I didn't quite make the step to the last rock... so I had one wet foot. No problem... feet and shoes eventually dry.

It was a fun, beautiful, memorable day!
