We awakened to another beautiful day of nothing but blue sky and sun. We decided to go out for a quick bike ride around the Lake Powell and Marina area. It is so peaceful and quiet. I used my GoPro and got a few videos of the area. Here is a picture of lake Powell as seen from our bike ride.
After the bike ride we packed up the ArrVee and headed for Sedona. Fortunately we found out along the way that the most direct route and the one I, of course, had decided we would go was a steep road with multiple switch backs not recommended for vehicles longer that 30 feet. So we took the long way around and that took us a bit more time but was smooth going and much better than getting into a situation LOADED with stress.
When we arrived we discovered that Sedona is beautiful and very "upscale". Also it seems to be THEE mecca of New Age Religion. The big draw is to go to the area of a "vortex". There you will healed or something... not too sure what the vortex is good for but there are certain specific locations to seek out. There are also of course.... shops specializing in psychic stuff, readings, crystals, etc. It is really, really big here. Somebody is making a lot of money off this I'm sure. So we have gone from the dominance of Mormonism to New Age... Tomorrow is Sunday and we will try to look for a church that doesn't have a pyramid in front of it.
We took a nice hike and then settled in for a light dinner.
