Today we rode our road bikes up Zion Canyon to the end of the road. I took some video which I will try to post soon. It was a dream bike ride. I just about crashed 2-3 times trying to crane my neck to look up at the massive peaks soaring above me. At times they were directly overhead. With the sun shining we enjoyed a truly warm day and it was hard to believe that three days ago we were going about in down parkas with gloves and stocking caps. Today it was shorts and t-shirt... yea!
We continue to daily be amazed at God's artistry.
We took a drive up the road that leads into Zion from the East. We came in on this road but the mountains were totally socked in with clouds. This time we were treated to breathtaking scenery. We hiked Canyon Overlook... about a mile trail that was beautiful but we had a special treat as we encountered big horn sheep. They are different than our big horn sheep we have in Washington. The horns are much more delicate and I don't' they the sheep are as big either. The scampered around on the rocks and negotiated tiny ledges with the hooves without slipping... it seemed impossible. What a treat!
