Today we relaxed around the campground and took hike right from our backyard up the Watchman Trail. Watchman Peak is what you see in the background.

These are some pictures along the hike. Dave and I from the top. Note the rock is one step away from landing on top of our
ArrVee.

| Yes... it really is straight down |
A little rest from the exhausting climb and a chance to soak up the sunshine
 |
| Ahhhh that sun feels so good! |
We happened on a "collared lizard. A hiking companion we were walking with said they were a "great find". I whipped out my camera and here's the little fellow.

Later in the day we went up to the end of the canyon and walked the Riverside walk to the beginning of the Narrows (closed due to high water). We hoped for a good view into the Narrows but it was somewhat disappointing. This view along the river was pretty and shows the tender green of leaves of early spring. If I could pan a little to the left the other side would be straight up just as you are seeing on the right.

Tomorrow we pack up and drive back through the tunnel in which Dave must drive down the middle because it is too low at the sides... YIKES... I hope he makes it. I'll be following in Tessie, the Terrestrial Tangerine. (named by Josh and Hannah). Then we are off to Page AZ.
