ONE HUNDRED DEGREES!!

If you have been keeping track of us through this blog, doesn't it just seem like yesterday that we were waiting in the snow for the weather to clear so we could safely head to Zion?  Well that actually a couple of weeks ago but still.... it is shock to the system to be on a trip and have snow twice in one week and now have it be 100.  I guess people come to Phoenix to be warm.

We left Sedona and drove about 115 miles, arriving in Surprise AZ just outside of Phoenix.  We are staying in a kind of retirement complex.  It is rather unique in that is is dedicated to people called "full-timers".  What is that you non ArrVee types ask?  A "full-timer is one who lives full time in the ArrVee... but of course they don't call them ArrVees... they call them "motor homes"... or depending on how much they paid for them... "motor coaches".  Each site has a spot to park the motor home and a cute little building varying in size to store their stuff or even large enough to live in or have guests or whatever.  There is a nice patio for outdoor living usually.  So the purpose is to live here in your motor coach in the winter or whenever you want and travel the rest of the time.  It is a sort of home base for high class vagrants.  We rented out space from an owner who is out seeing the country or visiting his in-laws.

While we are here we are going to get together with some old friends such as Bob Stevens who some of you know, and a classmate from medical school.    Dave will try to get his tennis game together after a month lay off and be ready for the competition to start Friday.

If it sometimes seems hard to hang on, remember that God designed us so that we can negotiate whatever path He puts us on.
