Kodachrome State Park... THE NEGLECTED TREASURE!

We had another cold, blustery day.  It snowed, rained, blew and produced a moderate amount of sun.  All in all a good day.  We drove about 20 miles to Kodachrome State Park.  We probably saw 10 people including the  park employee who welcomed us.  This park is not nearly as spectacular as Arches, or Bryce or Canyonlands or... I assume... Zion but it was never-the-less very beautiful.  Anyplace else and it would have been the main attraction.
Some people are like that.  Because there are others that seem more beautiful or smarter, or more attractive in some way that individual is overlooked as being anyone special.  But that person is often a "real find"... and a special treasure once you take the time to explore a little of who they are. They often become some of the friends you value the most.

Kodachrome was like that... a real find.  The weather was challenging.  We braved a blizzard... well blowing snow for about two minutes... a rainstorm.... actually it LOOKED threatening but never really got us very wet.  Mostly it was partly cloudy with just enough sun to make it seem warm.  We kept putting on and taking off our jackets.   Amazingly the sun seemed to make an appearance just when we wanted to take a picture.
