The English language needs more words to describe the beauty of this place! Also you can't just see how beautiful it is in a picture or even a video. This is about having an experience of what God has done. Can we "get into the mind of God?" I'm not sure. But that is what it seems like we are doing in a limited sense. Art is an expression of the artist ... that is what art is all about isn't it?... an expression of the artist? The artist feels something deeply that is hard to put into words or express in other ways so he/she paints or sculpts or creates. Depending on the level of ability, an artist expresses themselves. That is why everyone should come here and experience the artistry of God. He has made a statement here. I can describe it but I can't tell you what God is doing in it... only you can know that.
I'll post some pictures of the great day we had. We hiked up Grand Wash Trail and headed into some deep sided canyons... awesome! It was breathtaking looking straight up the side of massive red rock walls. Later we hiked to a natural bridge or arch. One of the most beautiful we have seen. We did about 7 miles of hiking and were ready for a rest after that.
Today we are going to the Burr Trail and hope to hop on our bikes for a ride there.
