CAPITAL REEF NATIONAL PARK

Yesterday we had a beautiful day of sightseeing and hiking in Capital Reef National Park.  We drove through a very deep narrow canyon and then hiked into a series of natural pools called "tanks".  These were used by the early settlers as a source of water as they traversed these difficult hot dry canyons.  The day was cloudy initially and then cleared to beautiful blue sky.  It was also quite windy but all 'n all a lovely day.  The massive red rock canyon walls are so breathtaking.  We just kept saying WOW!  Look over here... look at that!  This is beautiful country... God's artistry is everywhere.
