Glacier Park... You've got to see it!

Glacier National Park was spectacular!
We arrived late morning on Wednesday and hopped on the free bus and rode up to the top of "Going-to-the-Sun-Road". The mountains rose up dramatically out of deeply carved glacial valleys and it was made all the more beautiful by the road which is a narrow winding two lane (barely) carved out of the side of the rock mountains. Unfortunately my card for my camera was left in the computer. But no picture can do justice to the majesty of this place. If you want to see some stunning pictures go to http://www.terragalleria.com/parks/np.glacier.3.html
Everyone who loves to see the beauty of God's creation should take a trip to Glacier because His work is a masterpiece. But then... we saw amazingly beautiful scenery every day of our travels... even North Dakota! It was especially lovely this year because of late summer rains which made the hills everywhere green.
We stayed in a National Park campground. The trail in the picture is an extension so you can see how nice it is. We stayed two nights and then headed for Spokane.
There we intended to ride the Centennial trail and attempted to get into Riverside Park campground which is right on the trail. We arrived a little late and were not able to get a spot. In the process of trying to get into a site a little too small we had the one and only thrash of our trip. We finally gave up, pulled out and stayed at the Cummins Northwest parking lot where we had an appointment the next morning to go over some issues with them. We were hot, dusty, frustrated, and tired but... we got over it! :)
Now we are home. We loved our first experience as ArrVee'ers. We can't wait to go again.
