We Came... we saw... we conquered!

Klondike Bluffs will always have a special place in our Breakaway memory... our first attempt at riding on slickrock.  It was kind of scary... a little intimidating but we did it. 
Slickrock is a form of sandstone that should be called "stickrock" because while it is somewhat smooth it seems to grip your shoes or tires.  It is fun to ride on.
We had an awesome ride until Dave caught a pedal and leg met rock.  As in scissors, rock, paper... rock won.  Dave ended up with a pretty deep gash worthy of stitches which he refused to go to the ER for so we patched it up as well as we could and will try to keep him together with  industrial size steri-strips and an ace wrap.  He now claims to be a full fledged mountain biker.
